1.Drilling Mud Weighting Agent

        In some oil and gas Wells drilling, the general use of drilling mud, clay specific gravity is about 2.5, water specific gravity is 1, so the mud specific gravity is low, sometimes mud weight can not be balanced with underground oil and gas pressure, resulting in blowout accidents. 2.Application for paints

     Barium sulfate is better than most other filling powders, with low cohesion, low dispersion and fine particles. It is especially suitable for pigment topcoat, varnish, spray paint, etc., with chemical resistance and weather resistance. It is inert, insoluble in water, acid, alkali and other organic intermediaries, excellent luster and particle fineness make the finish is maintained in long-term exposure.        Barium sulfate has high fillability and can be used in all coating series, such as primer, thick paste coating and other types. 5.Plastic and Rubber Industry

6.Radioactive cement, mortar and concrete

7.Road construction

At present, the tires of heavy road construction equipment have been partially filled with barite to increase weight and facilitate compaction of fill areas.

8.Various Barium Compounds
   
  Barite can be used as raw materials to manufacture barium oxide, barium carbonate, barium chloride, barium nitrate, precipitated barium sulfate, barium hydroxide and other chemical raw materials. Chemically pure barium sulfate is the standard for measuring whiteness. Barium carbonate is an important raw material of optical glass. It introduces BaO into glass, which increases the refractive index of glass and improves other optical properties. Used in ceramics to prepare glazes; Barium chloride is a kind of agricultural insecticide; Barium nitrate is used in the fireworks and glass industries; Barium permanganate is a green pigment.

9.Application in printing ink
     
The thermal conductivity and fluidity can reduce the injection forming time. Barium sulfate can be used as nucleating agent to improve its strength and thermal stability.
